Hip Redux
Never run finishes in 03:46:08! Well off her PR, so hopefully she's feeling okay.
Almost everyone I'm tracking at this point is dropping off pace. Getting warm, I think.
Former Bad Ass
I think it's the hills. Coupled with the weather it might be.
Damaris
Still a very respectable time. It must be warm by now. Bravo Jane!

My 56 year old friend, Youssef, finished his third Boston in 3:14 and change. Very proud of you, buddy!
+1
It's got to be hot out there!
Are we there, yet?
Shalane Flanagan, who hails from nearby Marblehead, had made headlines earlier in the week, saying she wanted to win this race for the city of Boston. For well over half the race, Flanagan set the pace and dominated the women's field, running at a pace 20 seconds per mile ahead of world-record marks. By mile 17, however, the pack had caught Flanagan, and she found herself fighting for the lead. Soon afterward, she dropped from the lead pack and was unable to keep up. She would go on to finish in sixth place."
The BAA Leaderboard has her in 7th in 2:22:02, a PR by more than 3 minutes. Desiree finished 10th in 2:23:54.

Nolite te bastardes carborundum.
Bravo Bluesky and son! Hope you had the time of your life running together!
My text alert says a different time for bluesky. 4:24:08.
Maybe the difference between chip and gun?
It showed that he and his son crossed the finish line together. Nice.
Hi guys, thanks for all the kind words!
Great job, Fuzzy.
It definitely got warmer than ideal just as we were going into Newton. Stalking Buffalo runners, there were unfortunately some meltdowns to varying degrees. But "Bean" (I've mentioned in the past few RRs) rocked a 2:50 for 50th woman overall. Nice!
I was dangerously close to leg and foot cramps for a long time but managed to stave them off. More in a bit, time to clean up.
Ditto Jay.
Thanks everyone. Nice race Jay!
I'll probably write a little RR but I had a really good day. It was right on the edge of being too warm for me as Jay mentioned but it worked out. I didn't think I had this time in me but damned if I didn't keep plugging along.
Going to meet friends for a beer now. Probably more than one.
