World Ultraman Championships (Read 75 times)

http://ultramanlive.com/ Tony O'keefe from Kingston Ontario placed 2nd in this years 24th running of the world Ultraman Championships. The Big Island, Hawaii Swim 6.2 mi/ Bike(1) 90 mi./ Bike(2) 171.4 mi./ Run 52.4 mi. With a time of 22:31:54 The 47 year old did the 52.4 mile run 6:46:58. I heard the LT. colonel being interviewed on the radio this morning. The way he trained for the event was. Run to work (About 20km) in a time of 1 1/2 to 2hrs. Swim during lunch (90)mins and run back home at night. On alternate days he would ride his bike to work. Never hits the wall because his body is used to burning fat as his main fuel source......so he said..just sayin Wink Congratulations Tony....or should I say, Colonel! And Congrats to 46 year old Miro Kregor, who ran the double marathon in 6:14:36
