Anyone know if the Forerunner 305 can automatically log mile splits?

yes it can! Known as Auto Lap 1. Press mode to access main menu 2. Select Training ->Training Options -> Auto Lap 3. Here you can select By Distance, or By Position Check out PG 14 in the owners Manual for more information on Auto lap.

Another reason to love Garmin! I have been spending the last year manually pressing the lap button each mile. Shy
