The other day, I took a photo of the October sky in my neighborhood, just because I loved the colors and the sparse minimalism.
I did not realize until today that it's actually a photo of the Evil Ghost Face of Death looking down on my neighborhood.
I did not use photoshop, filters, or anything. It's really the face.

I like getting people in costumes and local colour in my photos. Some of my trips, I run across people dressed in local costumes etc. Ask them to pose for me. Helps to have a big ass camera around my neck but lately I sometimes do it with a phone.
Tomorrow is the Parade and it's gonna be cold. Maybe windy. Every float, every band, every balloon, has a place in the order of events. I think it would be a disaster if one of them was out of order, they would be talking about XYC school band when the Power Ranger balloon is in the square. So they have marshals with spreadsheets on every side street to put them all in order.
I took a photo of one of the parade marshals and the spreadsheet. I guess it's not a top secret but this is only one of the pages.
Another technique I like, is a photo of a photo. Someone lines it all up, you get the pic with or without the photographer in it. I have both.

That photo was a pleasant surprise. Suddenly materialized right next to me. I believe they are part of one of the floats but I can't remember which one.
Some of the costumed people are with the floats, some of them are on their own.
I think the float that pretty much wraps the parade up was this float and the people that walk with it.
otoh, these ladies seemed to be on their own
