Nice assignment! Would love to see pictures if you're at liberty to post them after you're done.
I'm going to ask him if he will allow it.

That is a huge honor, spike! And sounds like a fun opportunity to play with staging and lighting, backdrops, etc.
20,000 miles behind me, the world still to see.
Yes. Commercial advertising is probably much better than weddings. Though you can get really tight deadlines.
World reknowned knife and damascus steel maker Ed Schempp asked me to photograph some mosaic Damascus rings he made. The one he dropped off yesterday has an American flag design in the steel. So excited to experiment with this!
Whoa. Congratulations!
You got 'em. Let the anticipation begin.
Sounds like a nice gig. Is Damascus steel awesomer than Valyrian steel though?
Here's a photo from this morning. It was a dreary day out there, so I had to make my own fun.
My morning Photo. Made me forget to pick up my daughter for school.

Nice, Rocky. I like the clouds.
Prince of Fatness
Spent the weekend visiting my mom down south. This from my run at Hickory Knob State Park. Windy enough to make white caps on the lake.
Not at it at all.
That looks like a pleasant place, Finn. Nice shot!
It's actually not all that far from your neck of the woods. You are looking at Georgia on the other side of the lake there. The park is in SC.
I hope that everybody is doing well.
Here are some photos that I took when I was in Athens, Georgia for a work conference this past week...
Plus a couple of photos that I took around here the week before...

Here are some photos of The Tree That Owns Itself in Athens, Georgia...
From Wikipedia...
The Tree That Owns Itself is a white oak tree that, according to legend, has legal ownership of itself and of all land within eight feet (2.4 m) of its base. The tree, also called the Jackson Oak, is located at the corner of South Finley and Dearing Streets in Athens, Georgia, United States.

Finally....
While I was in Athens, I visited the railroad trestles that are famous for being on the back cover art of R.E.M.'s 1983 album, Murmur.
The first photo is of the back cover of the R.E.M. album, and the second photo is me trying to duplicate the angle. The final photo is the trestles from another vantage point.
