From the look of the elevation profile I linked, yes, it looks like the first half is hillier. From what I remember, the first 3 were worse than I thought but the rest was not bad.

16 miles today without getting lost . Luckily one of the friends I run with has a much better sense of direction than I do, between us we found our way. Legs were achy a few miles in but I think we started a bit fast.
My inspiration for today came in a chat with Bill, a blind runner that we came across on our route. He runs pretty much every Saturday with a couple of sighted runners who serve as guides. He's run MCM 5 times and was doing 12 miles today. One of his guides is a retired dentist who's in his late 60s or early 70s and is doing the JFK 50 mile again this year.
