I don't think that it is broadcast live, but it will definitely be highlighted on the news. I'm number 75 - what are all your bib numbers?

I'm 1531, wife (etapli61 on RA) is 1579. My training has been crap so I have low standards for the race. Good luck to everyone else though!

        an amazing likeness

Middle-aged, balding guy, little bit under 6', wearing some blue running shorts and shirt, Garmin and a pair of Asics -- I'm sure I'll stand out uniquely from all the other folks.

Fun race! I was so happy that my ankle and the weather cooperated: 2007: 1:19:08 - 250/271, 4588/4839 2008: 1:09:02 - 240/299, 4529/5248 Still a glacier-like pace, but improving! I'm hoping to be healthy next summer so I can get more running in. Great race, Blaine!

Okay. As I said prior, I didn't train that much this summer so I had low expectations compared to last year's race. 2007 46:18 2008 47:39 So I lost 1:21 compared to last year which wasn't too bad. I put in considerably less training miles this year. DW ran a 59:02 this year. She lost 2:30 on her time from last year, but she couldn't start training until about two months ago because of the pregnancy. It's her first race back from the baby so I was pretty proud of her time. Nice job to everybody!

                    an amazing likeness

I had a pretty good day overall. My first B-2-B. I was impressed with the organization at the start, unimpressed with the frenzy at the finish -- the constant announcements to move on, the shoving at the results board, finally made me leave and just take the first shuttle back. Only my second formal 10K, but a PR by 1:57 under my time in the LL Bean 10K on 7/4. Turned the fastest mile split I've ever recorded for myself in mile 5 on Shore Road, a 7:11 mile! I wish I knew the course better, I think I could have managed mile 5 to 6 better, and the last section in the Fort itself. I usually hope to finish in the top 30% in races, and finished in 46:15, which was in the top 900 -- so made that goal. I was estatic with my time, having set my goal at 47:XX. That's the end of "speed" work from July (LL Bean 10K, Pat's 5 miler and B-2-B), time to get back to working on distance for the Oct ME marathon.

Good improvement, Dana! I'm defintely the back of the packer in this bunch! Smile Very happy, though, so that's what counts.

If you want to sign up for B2B then you'll need to sign up well before summer. Just sayin'.
