This is the highest mileage month for me and:

I ran my first race since 2006.

I also ran my first half marathon for a PR of 2:39:09

"Enjoy yourself. Your younger days never come again." 100yo T. Igarashi to me in geta at top of Mt. Fuji (8/2/87)

Only 84 miles, my goal of keeping it over 100 a month failed due to stressful family issues that kept coming up.

1850 feet of elevation gain in 1.3 miles duirng a hike (ave. 35% grade), that I guess is a steepness record for me.

"During a marathon, I run about two-thirds of the time. That's plenty." - Margaret Davis, 85 Ed Whitlock regarding his 2:54:48 marathon at age 73, "That was a good day. It was never a struggle."

I had 157.4 miles in September.  Ran two marathons, one a PR and the other was my 2nd fastest.   And I met Opie!

The honor was mine! You were such a good hostess. Could I make this entry a placeholder for now? All I know is it was a monthly mileage PR for the year. With only my Kindle Fire, I don't have a way to upload my last couple of runs for the month so let's say about 200 miles. Won my AG in a XC 5k.

"I didn’t run a race until I was 41 and that was a marathon! Let that sink in for a minute." -me
