Looks like I will be out of the running for several weeks to recover from oral surgery…
No running for 3-4 weeks, as per doctor’s orders. However, I will try to keep up some fitness while the Pace Bunny outruns me.

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

Sorry to hear about the doctor. I know what you mean about the Pace Bunny. It seems like he's been about 40 miles ahead of me all year! I won't be running at all this week-not injured, just need a break.

SCHEDULE 2016--
The pain that hurts the worse is the imagined pain. One of the most difficult arts of racing is learning to ignore the imagined pain and just live with the present pain (which is always bearable.) - Jeff

Last year, with the hurricane force tail wind, I ran 1:21
and today we were running into the wind, so I thought that
maybe I did "ok". But then I looked at the results. Holy cow.
Only 22nd in the 45-49 AG, out of 1,143 (last year I was 10th)
