I know many of us are either running a spring marathon for a charity or know somebody who is. To help with fundraising I thought I would start a thread where RA masters can list people and causes in case anybody wishes to make a donation. In my case, I have a good friend who is raising money for Summer Search in exchange for a Boston Marathon bib. Even though I'm a qualified runner at Boston, I'm still running for the Melanoma Foundation of New England. As a dermatologist who diagnoses and treats melanoma wayyyy too often, I know the good work of the MFNE up close and personal.

As many of you know I am running Boston for the Matty Eappen Foundation which helps to educate and prevent Shaken Baby Syndrome - now called Abusive Head Trauma. I have a personal connection with the foundation after working with Matty's dad Sunny for many years at the Brigham. I have a $4000 commitment and am a little over half way there - also have a rafffle set up (includes gift cards which are easy to mail)
