Alexander - Another good week by you.  What's next on your race list?  As to running with our kids, there was a time my son stopped running with me (I think he got too fast for me), but now he's back to doing it once in a while.  Maybe humoring the old man?

A very mixed week for me.  I didn't get out at all on Monday.  On Thursday I planned to run 8 with 5 at HM pace, but only got 2 HM miles done before my brain just quit on me and I almost walked home (fortunately, I did manage to keep myself running slowly).  On Friday I headed out for 6 and didn't quite get 4.  That set the stage for Saturday.  I went to ParkRun hoping the environment (a timer, other runners, etc.) would shake me out of whatever funk I was in - and it worked.  I put up my 4th fastest ParkRun out of 15 attempts while rarely looking at my watch and running hard but not all out.  After that, I managed Sunday's easy 8 quite well and so far this week have been running better too.  Hopefully the renewed mindset lasts until Sunday's half.  27.5 miles last week.

Fred, having missed both my A and B goals in that January half, I somehow signed up for three more half marathons, but now I realize I'm very unlikely to run all three. Last year I was signed up for three halfs and ran zero, that was my personal low. Realistically, I am now hoping I'd maybe do at least one of the three, but not sure which one. Also, it would depend on the weather, I already raced twice in cold rain this year, so not really looking forward to doing one more run like that.

Solid effort on the ParkRun! Reducing effort/distance and taking some time off during the week is often a good idea, especially if you are planning to race on the weekend. I am not following any program, so on most days my main goal is to  just start running somehow, get that first mile in, outside or on treadmill. And everything else, including pace and distance is strictly by feel. Which is of course not great, my overall training is not as structured as it should be.
