Marathon Maniac #957
For those of you who are new, this is the 40/40 thread, for people who are over 40 years old who run 40 miles/week or more. We give Free Passes to those who come really close or try really hard...
Here’s what I have for last week’s tally.

I'm a man without a plan...except to run easy this week and adjust based on how I feel. I'll probably need a pass since this is reverse taper week.

Latent Runner
Plan for this week:
10 miles
11 miles
Slow 3-mile company group run, moderate 8-mile night trail run.
Moderate to fast 4-miler at lunch with coworker, moderate 6-miler through a cold dark cemetery after work.
Fairly quick (for me) night trail run, had to push the pace because I left work late and had 11 horses waiting for dinner.
No horses waiting tonight, just a nice easy ten miler. I did hit something of a PR tonight, in the last 7 days I've run 77 miles, 6 miles more than I've ever run before.
The glare from my headlight shining into the heavy mist made seeing the trail difficult; had to take it real slow.
The first six miles were down in the 9 to 10 minute range; just couldn't shake the feeling of being tired. The last 4 ramped up to sub-7; go figure.
Geez it was cold and windy today; several points along my trail I run across causeways from a 19th century railroad, and the wind was so strong it blew my upwind leg into my planted leg.

Wow! That was a nice run on Tuesday, Holly...oh, but it was at an easy pace...
Yeah, no big deal at an easy pace. But if it was 607 miles at Tempo pace ... now you're talking!
I need a day like that to get me over 2000 this year (heck, that might get me over 2500).
I have some travel Thursday (to Minnesota, which is expecting some snow that evening) but I'll try to get in 6 M on 5 days, 10 miles on one day, and that will bring me to 40 yet again.
LOL! Need to have my reading glasses on in the morning...
I have some travel Thursday (to Minnesota...
Where to in Minnesota?
Mon-Fri 10.2 mi (1:25, 1:18, 1:24, 1:16, 1:19)
Sat, Sun 9.7 mi (1:17, 1:24)
