Running and XT Thread, W/E April 21 (Read 31 times)

C'mon folks, let's get going here! I hope Dutchie is feeling better. I had a very "meh" week last week but I'm blaming our persistently unseasonably cold and snowy April. We had a couple nights of -20 temps last week! Enough already!! Where is spring?

I won't post totals because I don't like mine. And I'm just a pinch hitter for this thread anyway...

Monday: 1.6 mile walk at lunch; 7.3 mile run and .4 mile walk c/d after work (windy!)

Tuesday: 1.6 mile walk at lunch; 8.3 mile run with hills and .4 mile walk c/d after work (still windy!)

Wednesday: 1.6 mile walk at lunch, no run after work (went to dinner instead!)

Thursday: 6.1 mile hilly run after work, .3 mile walk

Friday: 5.5 mile out-and-back run, .5 mile walk

Saturday: 8.1 mile GA run, .4 mile walk (beautiful day, temps in low 40's and no wind!)

Sunday: 12.2 miles run, 8:09 avg pace, .3 mile walk c/d on another beautiful day

Totals: 47.8 miles run, 7.2 miles walked (highest mileage week since last August!)

Hi Erica...not sure if I've been cross training this winter so much as just lackadaisical training...

But I walked 5 miles yesterday and swam 45 minutes tonight...hopefully I'll get a run in soon.

Thanks Erica, coughing is finally getting better. Chilly morning air still irritates my airways though.

        Mon: -

Tue: - / watching the awful news reports on Boston. Hope everyone and their friends/family are safe.

        Wed: strenght training chest/back.+ abs

Thu: leg w/o. The step ups in this one had a huge cardio effect which aggrevated my coughing and sent my HR thru the roof. But I think I'm well on my way back to health again.

Fri: strength training: back/biceps + abs

Sat: doggie walk and running errands, plus one very moody son (for no apparent reason - he's almost 21 yo so should be past those hormonal moods that never seemed to effect him anyway. Maybe he's late?)

Sun: doggie walk plus strength training: shoulders + abs

I'm complaining about it getting below freezing later this week and Erika is below zero! Lends some perspective.

Monday: Rode bike 10+ miles, half with stiff headwind.

Tuesday: Spinning class, 1 hour at more than usual pace. Strength workout changing DW's winter wheels/tires and carrying them into the basement. Walked about 4 miles in the evening.

Wednesday: Ran 6 in the AM, rode 10 in the PM.

Thursday: Walked 3 briskly with DW.

Friday: Ran 3 on the TM (rain & wind outside!).

Saturday: 8 @ 9:40 with the triathlete group.
