SCHEDULE 2016--
The pain that hurts the worse is the imagined pain. One of the most difficult arts of racing is learning to ignore the imagined pain and just live with the present pain (which is always bearable.) - Jeff

Thanks Holly.
Due to a lack of creativity, here it is.
Not a bad week prior to a marathon. Taper shmaper.

Thanks again, Holly.
For better or worse, Pfitz is more creative than C-R.
ETA: Perch, those are amazing streaks!
Be safe. Be kind.
I'm trying something a little different this week. Stealing a page from hermosaboy. A week of doubles.
(as you can see I'm off to a good start)
Not even close to goal miles. The Bike ride left me negative for legs so no long run on Sunday. Good training week though.
Thanks for taking the time out to keep the thread going Holly. This is a tough time of year to find the time! I am just trying to get myself adjusted to 50 miles per week before trying anything crazy.
needed an off day and it
worked with the schedule
Felt good after day off yesterday.
Still running in shorts!
7 with some
tempo
Started a little slow, but finished feeling
really great and like I could have run another
six.
Ugh, those ten miles yesterday, coupled
with temps in the mid 60s really did me in.
Once a runner . . .

I'm unsure to what degree downhill skiing is cross-training. Next year we're talking about structuring our trip so I can take my cross-country skis and spend a day or two doing that like we did a few years ago.

44 miles last week. My best week since the first week of July. Of course being on vacation all week gave me more time to run.

50.7 miles, a good finish to the year. That brought me over 200 miles for a month for the first time since April of 2010.
Thanks!
Not at it at all.
