Clearly people aren't racing. Seriously? I was the only 5k? It was one of my worst outings at Wascana parkrun and the heat and humidity were awful. LOL! I'd run 5 miles before and was dragging over that 5k.

We also had one runner take a zero to go on Leave of Absence (same as IR).

Thanks for the post, Krash.  No races for me until the end of September unless something unexpected comes up.  Just practicing running in the heat for a race I want to do next July.

Heat training is key for hot races. I was running in 95 degrees in a long sleeve to get ready for my last race.

I ran in my hottest weather ever last week. 112 degrees for 2 miles. Just to see if I could do it.

112 is crazy hot and good for acclimation.  It's been in the 80's with high dewpoints here, probably not as hot as it will be in Tennessee next July.  I may have to find a sauna in June.  This year's heat training is just mental training.

I don't tend to race much in the hottest part of summer. I know of one 5k run by another competitor that was accidentally logged as a run rather than a race.

This. No sense in paying money to overheat.
