after a hard first week of retirement I really am looking firward to this Saturday . Usually a rest day but hopefully someone will look at the house forcing me out fir an hour or two....so I’ll run then.

Good morning Queen. Hope you can make it out for a run after your tough week. SInce Memorial Day is the kick-off to summer, seems like people might in a house-hunting mood?
It looks like Warden started about a half hour ago and has gone a couple KMs, including a creek crossing.
No running for me this past week, came down with a cold after traveling, blah. Planning on doing an easy run today.
QOTD: Both. Brownies in any shape or form are one of my favorite things.

Qotd: crunchy corners! Warmed up with ice cream and hot fudge. Made me think of the Hot Fudge Brownies Perkins resturants served in the early 80's. In college I would study all night, eat breakfast and top it all off with a hot fudge brownie. They were huge and likely a gazillion calories. Oh, my misspent youth!

Are we there, yet?
Hoping to get in 8-10 miles today. Just committed to the Endless Summer 6-Hour in Annapolis, flat 3.5 mile loop on dirt paths on July 27th. If past years are indicative it could be a scorcher.
As long as the tracking shows Mike progressing, I don't mind if it's a little confusing.
qotd: soft middle is my preference but the only brownies I would turn down are those laced with certain additives.

3 really sluggish miles this morning with the group. Legs felt dead after Thursday's 6 miles and sitting in the car all day yesterday. But, our dog is here. Cannot seem to get a good picture to post, but will soon. We've torn him from his pack of 8 springers and a lab, and brought him to the city. a bit of a shocker, but he's warming up nicely to us, as long as we don't confuse him by changing clothes.
WC-I've looked at this race in past years and it looks more attractive now they've moved to a new park. However, I will be out of town this year, otherwise I'd join you.

Loopy loopy fun run is in the books. Ran way to fast, but finished it up. My buddy and I hit the 20 mile mark at 3:30, and the marathon at 4:40. That was not what I was planning. Calves got pretty sore from the pavement, and my friend was having some GI issues, so he bailed after 27. I waited for Jess to finish a loop, and we walked, jogged, slogged the rest of the way. It was getting pretty steamy out and tomorrow look like it will be pretty warm, so glad we're done with this. Hit the Truck AS 4-5 times and it was really nice to have it there. 50K done.
QOTD: Same with cookies, it doesn't matter for me as long as they are warm. If they have cooled, it's the chewy center part.
We’ve had people looking but not even a low ball offer . Oncecsold we are jumping in the trailer and traveling around a bit to find a new place to live.
Funny AT...I actually got some action the other day. I was at a restraunt sitting at the bar and this kid was 2 seats away...he moved over and started chatted with me. Seriously, it was very nice ...he must of saw that picture where the guys eat dinner with that old lady because she was alone. Thought he was doing me a favor.
So you and Jess in taper mode? What distance next two weekends?

We'll run 8-10 easy tomorrow and then next week maybe 16 at most and then taper down. We fly into Portland on the 9th and we’re going to Canon Beach to relax.
I had 2 really bad Lyme days the past 2 weeks, so hopefully won’t have one one race day. This shit just wants to remind me once in a while that it’s still around.

Chowder Yes, did kids name him? Why yes they did. Except one is heading to college and the other in HS. I think it's kinda funny and decided to just go along with it.
