AT I think you made the right call. I they have nothing to hide, then it isn't a problem...
Rocky-- Are you a fly fisherman? I have tried doing the fly rod thing but I was raised a spin fisherman so I have a couple light breakdown poles I take and usually do well enough with those and a couple Panther Martins. Less hassle for me than screwing around trying to fly cast in the wind. I guess I'm just too impatient.
I "learned" to fly fish on the St. Joe river in Idaho on cutthroats that were pretty eager to take a fly. I found when I tried to replicate that experience else where that it wasn't nearly as fun, and was a lot more work.
When I go to the mountain lakes I just pack a breakdown spinning rod with Roostertails, Mepps and Panther Martins.

Got in 13 on some trails, and temp was in upper 30's, that's about perfect for me!
QOTD No big plans, end of month we are going away for a long weekend for a race. We like to do lots of weekend and day trips.
Did 10 miles with 1400 feet of gain yesterday. (Mid-SF Bay Peninsula). The beginning of the run was warm and nice, but on the way up the fog bank coming in from the Pacific caught up with me and temps dropped by 20 degrees.
Today: a light jog and then weights.

18 miserable miles, but I just got it done. The pace was not bad, but I was cold, hungry, and had lots of belly aches. Hoping the short-term memory loss will erase this run soon.
On the whole 18 miles, I saw 2 cars (one with my running buddy in it, coming back from some scouting, one with the ranger) and one runner(DH's heart surgeon). Strange day today.
Run for fun.

Is that a trail or a highway? I could send you some rocks from Pennsylvania if you like.... hehe!

I ended up getting two runs in on the day. For the first I did two laps of "Fluffy" as we call the local powerline climb. Each climb has 400ft of climb in around .19 miles.
In the afternoon I did 9 miles at my other local trail system. Tacked on another 1,000+ feet. Everything seemed to be clicking. Felt like a million bucks, and tore through it in 1 hour, 36 minutes. Sub 11 minute mile average is flying on these twisty, root and rock covered trails.

Some miles at the gym and cross training tonight after the hilly 7.5 mi from last night.
QOTD: ocean City nj for lots of miles on the boardwalk, beers on the porch and naps on the beach.
BT survivor since 2003. Trail runner since 2009.
I think brain surgery stimulated my running nerve and made me into a trail runner. I'm grateful for both.

I ran today. It was not horrible. Maybe there's hope.

2/3rds training
ran my first double today and it was awesome. Five miles easy on the road in the morning followed by ten on the trails in the evening just as the sun set. It was really surprising how great my legs felt at the beginning and all throughout the second run, really strong on the climbs (~1400 ft total) and quick on the descents. I will definitely be doubling more often, but gradually.
