Well done on the race! Weird though, did you say there was an aid station a half mile in? That seems really odd, and that's a long stretch without aid for that distance of a race. Nice pics, and good you had time (and no pains) to see some sights afterwards.
There were also races of 60K and 88K coming through that aid station. The aid station was on the actual Prescott Trail. My race started at a parking area with a short segment to reach the Prescott Trail.

Finally got the time to read this!! Good job. And wear that DFL badge with pride, I do mine. DW is deathly afraid of entering a race and ending up last. It doesn't bother me a bit.
That's a nice area out there. Gotta get back sometime.
