Snowdenrun
For a few weeks I've been arguing with myself every morning about getting out and running. I've been tired, stressed, working a crap-ton of hours and I have this nagging reminder that I'm running a marathon(part trail) in Holy Crap 3 weeks. So I plopped my Negative Nancy ass in my pick up and drove to the end of the road and ran my favorite trail in town. Of course I had to pee right away and after that was taken care of and I was jogging from bushes to car I thought "okay, let's go home now". I almost did.
But....
The trail starts with a decent assent.
Following the run-off.
Passing by a water fall.
Where I stopped to get rocks out of my shoes.
The trails leads around Beaver Lake.
Where you get to hop on rocks.
And travel through the muskeg.
Then you head back up.
Through the trees.
To fly back down the initial assent.
I finished with a smile on my face.
From the looks of pic #4, I agree that it's time for you to get some new shoes.
That area looks amazing.

Your last line.... "I finish with a smile on my face." after I read it I said "No shit." That looks like a beautiful out of this world trail. Even if I didn't feel like running I could just go there and sit..Where are you Montana? My everyday wake up and go trail puts this to shame!!!

You're trail looks wonderful too! Sometime's I get sucked into the busyness of life and forget what a wonderful place I live in. I probably have pictures of this trail through every month. It's my go-to trail when I want a change from the ones behind my house.

Go to trail is right! I think that would give any one of us our mojo back. Thanks for sharing. Beautiful...
Feel free to keep sharing the pics. Wait...don't we have a trail porn thread somewhere?
My favorite day of the week is RUNday
Wow! I did a cruise through Alaska with my family and the highlight for me was the trail running at the ports.
Man, were some of those trails steep and wild. Just like yours ....
That would give me some running mojo for sure if I could catch my breath!
Endless trails
Awesome pics, thanks for posting.
Two words for your shoes....duct tape!

Looks beautiful! I like the waterfall most of all - my in-town trails are all desert so no waterfalls unless I want to drive.
Devil's Club and jungle-thick alders! I am guessing SE Alaska. I spent 9 months working trail construction in SE Alaska and getting to know life in the temperate rainforest. For me it was not really fun, it takes way more effort to get out when it is rainy and wet all the time, unless you are someone who likes that climate.
[Shortly after living there I moved to Tucson...some of us just aren't cut out for the rain and gloom ]
Glad you are getting back into the groove - don't stress about the marathon, just enjoy it! [is it the salmon runs in Cordova?]
