I remember a guy on the train on the way to C2C who was going to use the GUCR just to qualify for Sparthalon

...and what pisses me off amazes me is that the winner completed it in the same time as I ran/hobbled Ridgeway
PS went for my longest run since Ridgeway yesterday (16-17 miles) cross country and beginning to feeling that my fitness is slowly returning, how about you?
Still have a niggle in my right calf, but still getting out and doing some mileage. Did 7m yesterday morning and then 15m in the evening, so can't say the fitness isn't there, even managed a 5.54mile on the morning run, so may have a crack at my Park Run 5k PB this Saturday just for the hell of it. I have the Greensand Mara in 3weeks, so looking forward to that and then see how the calf is before i book anything else, although i will be booking Thames Trot in the next couple of days as i know you are doing it, although will be somewhat flatter than our usual excursions!!!!
