On May 8th, we're going to attempt to set a world record for the most barefoot runners in a race.  Guinness just approved my attempt request today.  We'll be doing it on May 8th at the Fifth Third Riverbank Run in Grand Rapids, MI.  If anyone lives remotely close, YOU HAVE TO COME!  We need to recruit as many people as possible!  If needed, I can give more info...

Only about 30, but obviously the more the better.

I have to re-read the material from Guinness, but it does appear they have to be in the same distance.  We already have people that have committed to all three distances, so the record will be whichever gets the most barefoot runners. 

 

I am sitting the fence on which distance to run.  I'm running a 12 hour ultra the next weekend.  I'm hoping to do well, so I may not want to risk blisters in the 25k.  My normal taper calls for a very easy 3-5 mile run one week before a big race.  Still, I may run the 25k at a slow pace.
