Welcome to HMT Zooco ! You're on the calendar, so make it happen!
Your training looks solid, and you've got a couple months to get the base miles laid down for your first half marathon.
Welcome, Jim, and good luck!

Goal: ?
Unretiring from marathons (I did my one and only so far back in 2000). Goal TBD - right now in the 3:00 to 3:10 range, but that's a pretty big range, and I think maybe I'm wussing out, but can't bring myself - yet - to write something on the lower end of that range or better. I think I can, but it's also a "first" marathon again of sorts, so we'll see.
Come all you no-hopers, you jokers and roguesWe're on the road to nowhere, let's find out where it goes
Probably, maybe, the last 2 to add for me for the year:
Date: Aug 21
Race: : A Night of Miles 2

Date: Sept 13
Race: : King of the Hill
Event URL: www.uwwesternct.org/koth
Distance: "5K"
Location: Danbury, CT USA
Goal: 17:30...still
Course is new...and runs right past my office window. These are the streets I run every day at lunch, sometimes twice a day - so defending the home turf here, to be king of the corporate sloths. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to win this thing (always depends on who shows up, but still).
MTA: based on the map, I'm guessing this course is waaay short, like 2.7miles. So, we'll just go with "win" as goal.
Date: August 25
Race: : Race for the Ark 5K

Throwing a 5K in to test myself and keep me speedy
Hi all!
I'm new to this group, and happy to be here!
So I was toying with the idea of running the inaugural HM in Princeton NJ this November, but it sold out 3 mos early! inaugural! Then I saw the Trenton half...its a flatter course anyway, and who wouldn't want to run across the "Trenton Makes the World Takes" bridge?
Sign me up as follows:
Date: Nov 10
Race: : Trenton Half Marathon
Event URL: http://www.trentonhalf.com/
Location: Trenton, NJ USA
Goal: 1:30
I've run a few HMs before, mostly in the 1:40 range, and I feel like I'm tracking ahead of those...just need to stay healthy and get the pace up a little.
Seeya around.
#RunEveryDay

Half Fanatic #9292.
Game Admin for RA Running Game 2023.
So I won't be doing this:
Date: Sept 2 Roots Rock 25K
and will be doing this instead, trying for a shot at 2 hours:
Date: Sept 9 Skagit Flats HM, Burlington, WA http://www.skagitflatsmarathon.com/
Don't make excuses for why you can't get it done.
Focus on all the reasons why you must make it happen.
Calendar is updated...please scan to check I've got everything hunky-dory.
I have a correction to make on one of my Park & Rec10K's. One isn't there, because I probably forgot to include it; but the one that is there has the finish time of the other...I think.
The missing one was the St' Paddy's Day 10K 3/17/12 and I ran 57:23
I ran the Memorial Day 10K 5/28/12 in 55:37
