thumbs up!

    My 1/2 was today.

My alarm went off at 4:30, enough time for my usual "coffee routine". Ate the Wheaties "fuel" cereal that came in the race goodie bag. (not bad btw).

Pinned my number on and headed out...  to a dead car battery.

It was 5:45am. Couldn't expect my husband and kids to get up and drive me, and didn't see anyone up in our neighborhood willing to drive me 45 minutes to the race.

    So, no race for me.

I ran around my little town anyway, feeling sorry for myself most of the way.
There will be other races, but for the moment I'm enjoying my pity party.

My condolence.  At least you still ran today
Crap! Good for you for running anyway.

Three half marathons later, I got a number. Half Fanatic #9292. :)

Awwwww what a disappointment! Good for you for running anyway. You couldn't take your husband's vehicle?

Use your momentum...keep going.  You know you can make it.

          thumbs up!

I don't know how to drive his stick-shift truck.

Two neighbors have scolded me in the meantime for not waking them up to have them drive me.
