Just to pass something on...

I have recently started using a cheap LED headlamp for evening running, I bought it for fixing my old car if/when it breaks down at night. The lamp takes 2 AA batteries, has elastic to go round your head, and a hinge to set it at different angles.

Works pretty well, less than $10, helps both to see and be seen.

"Old" is not another word for "slow".

Ran 8k this afternoon, 3k warm up, 2k speed then 3k cool down.

The 2k fast took 8:36, not bad but not great.

Wrapping up a busy November for me. If y'all will indulge me with a "Look what I can do" moment:

I ran over 140 miles in November! I blasted past my previous monthly high of 108 miles and not by doing stupid things either but just by being consistent: I didn't miss a single planned run.

Good to read about people still braving the cold and running/racing so well. Thanks for posting the reports.

Way to go Vixi, Larry, Bobev, MrPH & Paul!

MilkTruck - good to hear you are on the mend - keep it up mate!

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.  Chat to you all in the December thread!
