4.6 in AMAZING weather - 50 degrees at night in December? I would love to see another mild winter. We never shoveled last year. Being on IR I didn't get out much to run, but would love to take advantage this year.

I'm building my mileage back up after a brief break due to a mild calf strain. Should be back to normal this week or next. In January I will start prepping for a summer 50K.
I signed up for a spring marathon yesterday. O.o The LRS announced our first local FM and I got a little too excited. About an hour later I'm saying "what did I get myself into?!?" - um yeah. I've got a base of about 15mpw. Obviously that is going to change in the near future.

Time to post for last week.
Is everyone having a low month with Holidays? Or using the time to get some extra miles in?
It's been a very mild and snow-less winter in Central Illinois.
BexKix, when's the marathon? Hopefully you have a little time to ramp up your mileage.
Mileage for me has been pretty steady, but hopefully that will start building in the next few months.
I'm using December for to run some easy, base building miles. Nothing intense and no pace goals. Just go out and run/jog/wog or whatever.
The marathon registration was my excitement getting ahead of my brain. But I'm all in, now.
Great time to get laid back miles in.
December is closing up... how's everyone doing?
I'm closing in on 20 weeks out. Wait, what?
January is here and now it's time to get serious. 25K coming in May and 50K in August. So far away, but yet so close.

After almost 4 years, I am placing the captainship up for bid. If someone wants to split duties I can play a partial role. I feel I am failing to rally the troops, email/IM those that need nagged, and welcome newcomers very well... basically I've been a great team member by posting consistently, but not a good captain. I've changed desks to a more demanding position the past May, and it's not going to let up any time soon (if ever). While we do have a pretty quiet, "family friendly" team, I am pretty sure someone can do better than I have.
Thoughts? Volunteers?
