Thanks y'all. We're halfway there and staying in a Walmart parking lot overnight somewhere in Oklahoma. Probably not what the dogs were expecting when they got in the van, their favorite thing ever. Dad is still unconscious. Has pneumonia and on two antibiotics. Mom is spending the night there, my sister says she's her normal calm and collected self, and worrying about things like the salads she's supposed to be making for Thanksgiving. I guess it's her way of dealing with it - I think I get a little bit of that from her. But unlike her, when I start thinking about things I get super emotional. Part of me wishes I could just shut that down and be practical and not feel.
