Snoozedailes Tuesdailies (Read 13 times)

Scamp was up and down till 3:30 this morning.  He needed to go outside and yack about every 30-40 minutes. No spin this morning.  I woke up 10 minutes before work and I am SO tired. Scamp seems to be fine now.  Glad I didn't run over to the animal ER, but I was totally ready to go if he seemed worse. Idk what he got into--must have eaten something in the yard, or he finally hacked whatever it was up.

Kat--ouch on the fall.  How's the nose?

Just walked the pups this weekend. Did a 24+ mile ride in the park Saturday morning. Did a few chores and sewed. Family was all busy or sick, so I just did some Susan stuff.

    Karen--love the pup pics!

The Witches Ride had a price increase: $50 this year! You decorate your bike, make a great witch costume, buy lots of candy and basically walk/coast a mile or two through downtown as part of a parade and throw candy to the crowd.  I think this year we'll just watch.  They are getting a bit greedy here.....

I've been offline for the most part this week and have zero clue how everyone is.

5 miles on the TM today. Because the drastic heat decided to make an appearance in September. Hot weather running is never fun outside but extreme heat is a definite no for me. So the TM it was.

8 miles today. I wanted more, but I felt kinda off before I even went out the door, and it didn't get better. I guess I should be happy with the 8.

Not sure what kind of running I'll get in the rest of the week. Or next week for that matter. I was planning on two pretty strong weeks, then a cutback week when we are doing some camping with friends and heading up to a big van get together in Grand Junction. Well, one of DH's friends from Wisconsin is on his way here today. DH invited them to camp around here with us a few days before the big thing in a couple weeks. A couple days ago the guy said they were heading for CO - we didn't know they were heading here! We're probably going to do a couple short trips with them, but I'm not entertaining them or just suddenly going camping with them for two whole weeks! I told DH to suggest some places for them to go, but I don't know what's going to happen. I might be a bit annoyed.

Susan, glad Scamp is doing better. I think I'd skip the witches ride - too expensive for what it is!

Lori, nice job getting the miles in. At this point I'm just hoping the 100s are gone in TX by the time we get back in October. They are saying only upper 90s next week at least....(and yes, those are temps, I don't want to know what the heat index is).

I ran 3 and lifted. Pilates after work, except I just lost power so we'll see. I can't see in the basement without it!

          WINE o'clock somewhere!

Sue, hope Scamp is OK.  Yeah, nose is mostly ok.  Slightly sore at the tip which hit first.  Knees hurt from landing on them too.  Kneeling at work was painful.

Lori, ugh on the TM, sucks.  Our temps are STILL in the 100's.  SO TIRED OF IT.

Karen, glad you at least got your 8 in.  Good luck in the next few weeks.  Pic of the pooches was indeed cute.

Damaris, hope you get your power.

Had a few scheduled days off.  Supposed to start up tomorrow, but we will see.  My little puppy is having dental issues.  I think his back premolars are growing in wrong and are painful.  He wont eat dry at all and only some soft food.  Luckily I know the tech at the dental specialist.  They're off work today, but she responded to me I can bring him in tomorrow for a consult and maybe even the procedure if deemed necessary.  Phew.  I realized a few days ago he was being picky, but didn't think as much of it as he was initially scarfing down canned food.  Now he isn't.

Not alot else, sick to death of this heat.  Another string of 100's happening.  We already made the hottest summer on record, most 100 degree days, and hottest August with something like 25 100 degree days in a row.  And we are still racking them up.  OVER IT.

            Best to y'all.

Well, I guess our weather isn;t as bad as Texas.....3rd day in a row with a new record high. But it was "only" 99. 25 minutes on the treadmill + a core workout.

CrazySue, hope Scamp is doing better and ugh on the lack of sleep.

BerthaSlayer, about the only good thing is so far it hasn;t been insanely humid to go along with this heat.

AnonymousGuest, hopefully you do not need to entertain the guests for too long.

Docket, hope the power outage was short.

KatS, poor pup. Ouch on needing to kneel at work.
