Notes

Set my watch's low pace alarm at 7:00 and my high pace alarm at 7:15. Seemed like I was bouncing off the low alarm a lot more than the high alarm. Another good tempo effort in windy conditions 100% dirt (as opposed to Monday's tempo which was on the Strip).

Cadence 181

Stride length 1.26m

I noticed on my tempo run Monday that my cadence on that one was freaking 191. This is the same as it is when I race a 5K, just shorter stride length for the slower tempo pace. Seems to me that I've been relying more and more on increasing cadence to try to maintain any speed, as the years have gone by. wonder if there's any benefit to trying to run at more of a slower cadence. To that end during today's run I didn't worry so much about pace but tried to keep my cadence less than 180. For the most part succeeded and I felt fine during the run. Hmmm.
