Tried to do 1 quarter mile at all-out speed (spurred on by the sub20 thread) and ...
after jogging for about 5 miles I stopped in the shade, composed myself, tucked in my shirt, turned my hat backwards, got rolling to about 6:30 pace and then hit the lap button and LET FLY! 76.1 seconds for 0.26 on the Garmin. I was haulin butt until I looked at the watch the first time - .11 miles. Oh shit, still have .15 to go. Next time I looked at the watch I was slowing down quickly - .21 miles - AAAHHHH the pain! Maybe if I practiced pacing the quarter I could do 70 seconds. Maybe.
