For some odd reason they had the course go through a parking lot with huge rolling security gates. two inch metal strips for the gates might have been an easy hazard to spot, so they disguised them with timing mats leading up to them. The volunteer who scraped me up said 'everyone is tripping and falling here" <sigh> he did walk me to the aid station.
They changed the awards from 10 year age groups to 5 year, so I managed to win my division :)
