This was a weird run. First of all, I wanted to run long, but then my friend said they were playing lacrosse/soccer. Since I don't play lacrosse, I figured I'd stop by on my run, say hello, and be on my way. They played soccer though, so I stopped by, and played soccer for an hour or so. I didn't run continuously, but I would compare it to an hour long strides or sprints. Then I ran the 4.58 miles home. So not a real double, but not a real long run either. What can you do.

Looking at the time, the first ten miles, before the soccer was probably 650ish, while the last 5 brought it down to the 7 minute pace. Just an estimate, but I think it is about right. Tomorrow I want to do a fartlek. Dropped the ball this weekend, so I have to move it up a notch. I want to hit 50-60 miles with easy tempo/fartlek workouts this week.

I also had someone give me the finger, and had the quick enough reaction to give it back. Usually I rely on others for comebacks. I think this is a good sign, in that I"m becoming more of a solo runner.
