Notes
Doug's Race was a great 10K that rarely gets ran on. The first 1.5 miles were all uphill to the top of Iroquois Park. While the climb was not bad, the top was a little tough. Thomas and I kept strolling thru the park down lookout road, passing mile 3 on our way to the base. There was more downhill to mile 4. 5 and 6 continued around the based up the backside, then down to the finish. River City Races alway puts on a good race. As for me, I felt really good throughout. Getting the tough part out first is beneficial. The last three miles were fairly easy (6:38 pace in mile 6). I got some hardware with a 2nd place finish in my 30-34 age group. Thomas did as well finishing 3rd in his age group. Excellent run with my buddy Thomas, good to see my FF buddies and a beautiful, although chilly (40 deg) start. 6.2 miles @ 7:06/mi pace.
