Ran the 10k in 46:49, far from the 46 minutes I was shooting for. No excuses - my pacing wasn't bad, the conditions were ok ... slight headwind going out the out-and-back course, just a couple of hills. I was trying to keep 4:36 kilometers, and it started well, right on pace. At the 5k turnaround, my time was 23:15, but I thought that was ok, since I would have the wind behind me on the way back.
So I'll have to do another one or two 10k's this year to get that PB! I did finish second in my age group, but that just means the fast crowd didn't come out! Enrique also finished second in his age group, but had a much better time and a PB to boot!
