It felt good to break 28:00 finally in the 5-mile run. Fuck 28 minutes. I just chilled at 5:36/mile, didn't really pick it up at the end. Although to be honest, I wasn't "chilling." It was more like a sustained-state run, like what I was supposed to do. The important thing is, I can improve. Chocolate milk never tasted so good. I'm going to plop myself down and read. I'll be sore tomorrow but I'll take it easy. Friday will be an easy and smooth 7 miles, and I'll probably lift friday as well. Speed workout Saturday. Probably 400s. I need to set realistic goals this time, unlike last week's 400s. Rest is key. I'll take a day to figure it out.
