3k at indoor conferences. Legs felt pretty dead warming up, but they've definitely felt worse going into races. Anyways, planned to try and run as evenly as possible and just stay out of trouble. Race went out ridiculously slow and there was lots of bunching up, starting to accelerate, slowing down and repeating that cycle. Stayed relaxed, but my legs were too dead to get the position I needed. Anyways when the race broke with 900ish to go I couldn't cover the big move and just focused on closing as fast as I could. Finished feeling like I couldn't have gone faster, but not dead on the floor like after most races. Guess that's what happens the day after a 5k. Was actually only 2.5 seconds from scoring, which would have been tight, but I can't complain with the effort I gave today. This weekend was a nice way to wrap up the indoor season and has me optimistic for outdoors. Km splits roughly 3:00/3:00/2:55.
