An early start and a long run on a cold cold morning in the snow, with slippery traction that took away, who knows how much distance. Ran from home up the Golden Gate Canyon road, then back again, with 2,500 or so feet of climbing. Was snowing at the start, broke it into bright sunshine at the turn around, finished with a smile. And no residual tiredness as the rest of the day wore on. Who'd have though 20+ miles up a mountain in a snow storm could be so easy.
