Notes

A brilliant run: so different from yesterday. After dark, ran easy to the track then put in 7 miles barefoot, running 10x50m sprints (at 90% effort I'd say) then 5x100m sprints (roughly 15 seconds each) then 2x200m sprints, 1x400m sprint, 2x200m sprints, 5x100m sprints, and 10x50m sprints, all off very generous jogged recoveries. Over 3K of sprinting! And it felt great! So invigorating! Afterwards, ran easy back to the rec center, jumped on the treadmill, and put in another 4.5 miles, with the middle 3.1 in 18 minutes dead. Not bad!!! Lowered the blood pressure from 118/78 earlier (while grocery shopping with Naomi) to 103/68! One other note: NEED new lightweight running shoes. Running barefoot was amazing, but when I put the shoes on they felt like heavy, inflexible wooden clogs. Barefoot running is how it's meant to be.
