After 3 miles decided to push a bit past 8:40 pace and tried to hit 8:35 for first 6 mile out-n-back and closer to 8:30 the next.
8:35 @ 157 for first loop
8:30 @ 161 for second loop
Took maybe 30 seconds after first loop to down a gel (nearly frozen) and chug some water.
Legs felt OK - some minor twinges in my right IT band and left glut.
Legs feel surprisingly good following day.
Wore CWX tights, l/s shirt, PI top and vest - 2 pairs of gloves.
