RT out of the parking lot onto Hwy 70
RT onto Hwy 80
Lake Tahoma at 5
At 13.5 take Blue Ridge Pky south (good place to stash something and pick up on the way back)
At 25 enter Mt Mitchell State Park
Ranger stating at 27.5
Take a wind proof jacket. Its 6-10 degrees cooler on the mountain and the decent in sweaty clothes can be cold. Weather on the mountain is very unpredictable. Prepare for rain.
