Notes
Pretty hard ride today. I left the house at 11:30 to get 20 miles in before meeting the group at Harris Teeter at 1. My route was Hoffman, New Hope, Union, Bud Wilson, Robinson, Union. A good crowd showed up. Doc, Ben, Jeff C, Holly, Karen, George and a couple of others. We split up because some wanted to do a longer route. I had to get back to the HT by 3 for Matthews basketball banquet at 4. We went down Union, Robinson and toward Clover and after that it was most of the "S" route. Doc lead for a bit and kept the pace down. Ben got up front and really picked it up. As Jeff and I got up front we just kept it up. We dropped Doc and someone about Clover and on Ridge road and the hills afterward we dropped George. We must have missed a turn at some point, probably paved over a mark, because we ended up with 40 miles. I got back about 30 min late but we made it to the banquet OK. My legs feel like noodles. I finished off two bottles.
