COMMENTS: NEW MAXXIS TIRE. Cannondale odometer- 1613.0
Put a new tire on the Cannondale. The old one had a small cut in the middle of the tread that didn't worry me much but a bulge developed on the side which concerned me a lot. I picked up a Maxxis Detonator (700x23) at the local bike shop and paid MSRP ($30) for it. Ordering on the web would have been $26 and I was worried mine would fail at the worst time. It rides good and has some very good reviews. I like the 120 psi rating. I run it at 110. Time will tell. It was hot today and I was determined not to get dehydrated which helped. I felt pretty good at the end. Suppose to ride with the GCC tonight but I don't know what time Julie will be home.
