I tried an experiment today and ran considerably faster than I had in the past couple of weeks. My knees have been a little sore lately and I wanted to see if running faster was actually easier on my legs. I think when I intentionally try to run slower, it screws up my running stride and I must put more stress on myself. I felt pretty good and I ran a 7:52 pace over 10 miles, which is pretty good for me.

I ran at the Pettit Center because it was 20 and windy outside (yes it's March 8th) and I plan on running outside tomorrow. I just can't make myself run outside for 2 hours when it's only in the 20's so my long runs will be inside until probably May.
