Did my go-to fartlek workout this afternoon, and it went really well. It was 12 min @ 10k, 8 min @ 8k, 5 min @ 5k, and 3 min @ 3k, with recovery of 2 min, 90 sec, and 1 min, respectively. I was definitely a little tired after last night's tempo, but I maintained strong paces for this nonetheless which was really good to see. I did the first piece at 5:32, the second at 5:40 (settled into a little bit of a tempo here, and was getting tired..), then I believe I did 4:58 for the third piece (though this seems a little fast...?), and finally ended doing 5:16 pace for the final piece (which included both a good downhill, and then the awful uphill from the airport). Then I wrapped up with two 3o second strides just to really get the legs going a bit.

I'm quite pleased with these paces, and was surprised at how good I generally felt despite the hard work I've been doing lately. Looking forward to some recovery days up next...
