Did my longest run yet this afternoon, and really enjoyed it. I did a new loop (see mapmyrun.com from today) that took my out to Pregny for the first time this fall, then back into town via two loops on trails around the botanical gardens, and then past Cornavin to Stand and Plain Palais, through Place de Neuve and up Athénée and across to Rue de Frontenex and down that hill to return home via Eaux Vives. It was all over the place but I really liked it, I enjoyed the bits on trail, the weather was beautiful, and after warming up I felt really solid. The miles just seemed to slide by today, and I was pleasantly surprised (again) by the pace upon getting back because except for the last mile or so which I intentionally pushed, the rest of the run was very relaxed. All in all a really good long run to cap off, by far, the best week of running I've had yet this fall.
