Run on my own from work. I was trying to get in a decent run before having to pick Brooklynn up. This run had a couple strange encounters. I ended up making a turn right ahead of a kid in a bro tank, basketball shorts, and carrying a football. I assumed he was only running a block or so, but he kept following me through Coe and down 1st Ave, definitely over a mile and actually was able to catch up to me. We got separated at a stop light and I had to turn back shortly after that and he continued on. I'm really wondering how far he was running, but either way he was definitely a capable runner.
The reason I got ahead of him at a stop light was due to me taking a different route around 3 cops converging on an older guy stumbling down the sidewalk barefoot on 1st ave. The interesting part is that by the time I turned around the cops were gone and the guy was a block further still stumbling along.
I felt tired on this run.
