2nd heat of the last chance meet at La Crosse. It was hot and humid with no wind at all. The pace got out quickly and I got stuck in the middle. This was a mess and I realized why I have been trying to get better and getting out at the front. The front would have been too fast though since I was sitting in 8-10th and went through the 300 in 46 and the 400 in 62. The next two laps were still pretty messy and I was probably around 2:06 at the 800. I thought I might be able to move a little with 500 to go but everyone else went at that point and I started to get dropped. I fought hard the last lap but didn't pick it up too much. Tried to catch Parker Comentino down the home stretch but I wasn't gaining at all. Ended up watching the clock the last 30-40 meters and thinking that I might have been under 3:57. Rebel had me just under but then the screen came up with exactly 3:57.00. I'm really excited with the race though and don't think I could have run much faster. Finish line splits: 46, 63 high, 63 high, 62 mid.
