Notes

Short recovery between the swim and run, and I didn't hydrate very well made me a little concerned when we started running. But this isn't the summer and one of the perks of running in the dark and cold is that I didn't need to be that hydrated. This run felt quite a bit better than the last couple of days. My back still felt sore and my body still seemed a little twisted, but I tried to force my stride to counter that and it worked out pretty well. Interestingly enough, the secret is to jam my left foot into the ground harder than usual. Somehow that keeps my left shin from hurting too.
