600 @ mile (1:51.5) 12x200 @ 800 (technically 35.5, but just went with the group). 5 minute rest after 600, 60 after 200's (went too long on the last 2). Split: 1:54.5 for the 600. Was on pace (74) through the 400, but slowed down a lot the last 200. Thought we were maintaining pace, not really sure what happened. Don't think wind played a role in this one. Definitely a mental error rather than a physical one. Split: 34.5, 33, 33, 33.5, 35, 33.5, 34, 33.5, 34.5, 36.5, 33, 36 for an average of 34.18 (~2:17). Wind played an increasing role as the workout progressed, 2 of the last 4 were very slow because of it. Felt easy aerobically, and only mildly hard on the legs. Not as focused as I would like to have been today, wasn't totally there. I tend to find it hard to take days like this very seriously to be honest. Good news is I only did one 200's day last year, so hopefully today was it for the season. Would have been fun to spike up for a workout like this. No 40's for me.
