Went out really hard and Festus passed me just before the mile. I wasn't feeling in control, so I let him go and he built up a 5-6 seconds lead on me. After hitting the turnaround, I was able to catch him within a half of a mile and after passing him, I tried to keep a strong pace and was able to back off a bit towards the end.
This pace was definitely harder than I would have liked, but I'm also really rusty right now.
