Weird run. Was going to do 9 around 5:45 or something but after a mile, I could tell I still had the race in my legs and I could never get out of that warm-up stage. So I stopped and ran easily and was going to do 8.7 instead of the 10.2 total. But I wasn't paying attention until I noticed I was 4.7 miles down the road. So the moderate run was back on.
I felt better this time and made up some time since I only had to run 6:00ish pace. However, one of the male breeding boxers at some house, who is normally caged up, was waiting for me in the middle of the road. After a stare down, I noticed there was a four foot or so piece of chain with a metal stake attached at the end, right by my feet. I picked it up ready to brawl but after some more staring down and a little swinging of the chain, he let me pass.
